Drama. Always drama.

You know that family who can never just do something without 12 things stepping in the way? Yeah. That family would be us. Things get done, but sometimes it seems like we have to take a few more steps than most people.

The SIM card/Activation bundles came faster that I expected, so I thought switching the boys to T-Mobile prepaid would be a snap. Turns out? T-Mobile forgot to include the activation codes, so it took a 30 minute phone call, and 3 activation codes to activate 2 phones.

AT&T started off on not such a great note with me, and I am waiting for improvement. The modem got here a day after they said it would, which normally wouldn't be a big deal, but combined with them selling me a product that isn't even available to me, pissed me off. Long story short, I signed up for 6MB internet, and they gave me 1.5MB. When I called to find out why, I was told that 6MB isn't available to me, because I am too far from the little green boxes along the side of the road. The computer and the real live person I spoke with didn't catch it and allowed me to sign up. After being transfered to the department that would process my cancellation, we decided to try it for a month and see what happens. The free month of service they offered so I would have time to try it didn't hurt.

Today we tried a few tests (streaming Netflix through the xBox while 2 computers are using the internet, etc.) and everything seemed fine. They gave us until the middle of October to test it, but we have already decided to just go for it. Tomorrow morning we are taking the equipment back to Comcast.

We took Marty's laptop in last week to have some much needed warranty work done and of course my desktop decided to stop working. Alex was able to put together a very slow desktop for me to use until we can figure out what is wrong with the desktop, and decide if we want to put any money in to it or just wait until Spring and buy a new laptop.

Last week I busted up my shoulder pretty good. There was a day or two where I was just about worthless for anything other than sitting on the couch and popping Advil, but I am on the mend.

Friday we had our "Not Back to School" pool party. Had a great time seeing all the people I didn't get to see all summer! Yesterday we spent the whole day at a friend's house, so that the boys could help her husband build a swing set for their daughter.

Today is Marty's day off, so I am trying to get stuff done. Boring stuff like clean the refrigerator and laundry mixed with fun things like taking a walk with my honey and watching a movie with the boys.

There is a pretty good chance that we are getting a puppy. We borrowed a friend's 6 week old Shih Tzu and we all fell in love. We are still debating, and I have no idea when the breeder will have another litter, so it isn't going to happen until at least January. If I can get the pictures uploaded with this computer, I will post some.

Life is good!

Glad to hear you are on the mend. Just go easy; shoulder injuries take a while to heal. (Don't ask how I know ;-})
Puppies are awesome! Scout just said the other day that he sure does love that dog! She just turned 1.

Cindy - Oh it hurts so bad sometimes. Usually by the end of the day I am popping an Advil to go to bed.

The boys really want this puppy! They said last night that they want a "Puppy Christmas" and only want the puppy and puppy accessories for Christmas. That is when we knew they were serious!

Julie - We had dogs until I was in 2nd grade or so, but after that it was hamsters, guinea pigs and small pocket pets like that. Heck, if you had asked me a month ago I would have told you I was not a pet person at all. This little puppy melted my cold, dead heart, though. I just hope the one we pick has the same personality as she does! (I think she will because Shephanie's sister has one from the same parents and he has the same personality. *fingers crossed*)
